Implants

Do you have spaces in your mouth? Do you want to preserve tooth structure on the adjacent teeth? Are you unwilling to wear an appliance that has to be taken in and out of your mouth? If you answered yes to these questions, implants may be for you. Implants are artificial roots which are surgically implanted into the jaw bone, allowing you to attach artificial teeth that do not have to be removed.

Implant Restorations

Missing teeth can be permanently replaced using implants to support new crowns, bridges and even complete dentures.  Implant-supported dentures can eliminate the inconvenience of removable dentures and can be used as an alternative where dentures are hard to keep in due to poor bone support.  Replacing a missing tooth with an implant and crown is an excellent alternative when one wants to avoid grinding down otherwise healthy teeth to support a fixed bridge.  After the implants have been placed and allowed to become part of the jawbone, we can place the final crowns, bridge or denture for maximum function, convenience and esthetics.  A comprehensive exam with x-rays followed by a discussion with the dentist will determine whether implants are right for you.
